CIVIC MEDIA LAB 2017: OPEN CALL FOR ARTIST PROPOSALS. Kultura Medialna announces an open call for artists for participation in the second edition of the project Civic Media Lab “Free speech! Free action!” that will take place in June 2017 in Dnipro, Ukraine. The project offers selected participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine a residency opportunity for conducting artistic research and creating new works and projects. All works will be presented at the annual international festival of audiovisual art and new media in urban space “Construction” conducted by Kultura Medialna in June 2017.

The annual NICE Award aims to promote innovations from the cultural and creative sectors, especially those that spill over into the wider economy and society. This year the NICE Award theme is Creating an Inclusive World – A Call for Transformative Innovation. Eligible for the NICE Award are: Individuals or entrepreneurs from the cultural and creative sectors, including designers, architects, filmmakers and performing arts as well as visual artists and video artists, profit and non-profit companies and public institutions or agencies, non-profit foundations or initiatives as well as research institutions from within the cultural and creative sectors, сollaborative teams and networks, even those without a legal entity. The Award pool is 20.000 Euros.
