Eastern Partnership cultural heritage project announces completion

The Community-Led Urban Strategies in Historic Towns (COMUS) project has announced that it will conclude its activities on 30 June 2017. Being a joint EU/Council of Europe initiative, the 30-month long project worked in nine small and medium-sized historic towns in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

Based on community-led processes, COMUS supported these historic towns to develop an integrated, sustainable and participative approach to the protection, planning and management of heritage resources as a component of urban renewal policies.

The project was part of the Eastern Partnership Culture Programme II, funded under the European Neighbourhood Instrument.
