Opportunities for youth from Eastern Neighbourhood – learn more about Erasmus+

“I’d love to study abroad but I don’t have the money: can the EU help me?” Young people around the world, including in the EU’s six Eastern partner countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine – often ask this question.

Where do I find more information about such opportunities? What are the eligibility criteria? How do I apply? Answers to these and many other questions can be found in explanatory cards recently developed by the ‘EU NEIGHBOURS east’ project.

The cards are designed in a simple question-and-answer format and are designed in such a way that they can easily be embedded on other websites, including those of media outlets.

Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme for education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. Erasmus+ funds academic and youth mobility and cooperation projects that involve partners from "Programme Countries" and "Partner Countries" throughout the world. In 2018, there were 33 Programme Countries: the 28 EU Member States plus five other European countries. Partner Countries are located all over the world and include the six Eastern partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

To find out more about what opportunities are offered to these six countries through the Erasmus+ programme, follow the respective links below. Local language versions are also available. More facts and figured on how these countries have already benefitted from the programme can be found here.
