New “Reporting on energy” online course available for journalists

The EU-funded Open Media Hub project has announced the release of a new online course entitled “Reporting on energy”, for journalists from the EU Neighbourhood countries.

This course provides an introduction to the key areas related to energy. The participants will learn about the basic types of energy sources, including fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal. It also addresses the issues of renewable and nuclear energy, as well as the transition towards a low-carbon economy.

Other topics covered by the online course are the security of energy supply, decarbonisation and energy efficiency. It also addresses the issue of energy regulation. A general overview of energy supply routes and pipelines connecting the EU to supplier countries is also offered.
