EUVP  European Union Visitors Programme

Under this Programme, young leaders from non-member countries are invited to a five day individual working visit to the Institutions of the European Union, as guests of the European Parliament and the European Commission in Brussels (a trip to Strasbourg and Luxembourg can be included). A tour to a European Parliament session in Strasbourg is envisaged for participants with a clear political profile.

The purpose is to give participants the opportunity to gain through first-hand experience a better understanding of the European Union and its functioning. To this end individual working visit meetings will be arranged with staff of the EU Institutions and Belgian authorities.

Applicants should occupy a high profile position, be under 45 years of age, and speak fluently a EU language (knowledge of English, French, German or Spanish is mandatory).

The selection will be made by the European Commission and Parliament in Brussels on the basis of proposals made by the Delegation of the European Commission.
