For the period starting from 01.07.2002 until 02.10.2003, 10 local NGOs were registered by the Grodno Justice Department Executive Committee. 4 of them were registered in 2003.

The orientation of these NGOs was classified by the department as follows: 3 of them were cultural-educational, 1 was national-cultural, 1 was educational, 1 was creative, 1 was health-based and 1 was charitable. The department classified the locations of these NGOs as follows: 6 of them were city-based, 3 of them were regional and 1 of them as interregional.

In 2003, the NGOs that were registered were classified as follows: 2 of them as sport-based, 1 as cultural-educational and 1 as creative. In terms of location, 2 of them were city-based, 1 was interregional and one was regional.

In the same period 6 NGOs closed on their own accord. 5 of them closed in 2003.
