Mogilyev and the Mogilyevski region in 2003

In 2003, 6 local NGOs and 17 NGO departments were registered by the Mogilyev Justice Department Executive Committee. 11 of them were not legally able to generate income. One of the registered NGO departments (The Mogilyev regional branch of the rights protection NGO: “Vyesna”), according to the data at the end of 2003, is now closed.

For comparison, in 2002, 16 local NGOs were registered, one of which was re-registered in connection with changes to its charter. Another one of the local NGOs registered in 2002, according to information from the end of 2003, is now closed. Also, 5 NGOs branches were registered. 1 of them was not legally able to generate income.

In 2001, 13 local NGOs were registered. One of them was re-registered because of changes to its charter. 3 NGO branches were registered, 1 of which was not legally able to generate income.

In 2000, 13 local NGOs were registered, 1 NGO was liquidized by court order and another (according to data from the end of 2003) is now closed. In 2000, 7 NGO departments were registered that were legally able to generate income.
