A new web-site for children and juveniles will soon appear in Belarus
A new informational and legal portal will help children to become competent in serious legal issues. Efforts aimed at development of the Belarusian first legal site for children and juveniles have started upon the instruction of Ms. N. Petkevich, the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of RB.
The purpose of this project is formation of positive perception of the Law as a state institution. The children legal site is a part of the Legal Education at School global project supported by the National Commission of the Republic of Belarus for UNESCO affairs. In 2007-2008, the National Legal Information Center together with the Ministry of Education will create a database containing normative documents related to legal state, education, employment of children in Belarus, other legal issues concerning children under age. The potential site-visitors (children and juveniles from 6 to 16 years old) are conventionally divided into the following two groups: the junior group for which initial knowledge of jurisprudence will be given, and the senior group which shall learn to treat the Law as a guarantee of the citizens' personal rights. Another site section will be devoted to education of the will-be lawyers. It will contain narrations on the well-known lawyer, as well as the list of educational establishents involved in teaching jurisprudence.
