Refusal to register The Liquidator Republican Non-Governmental Organization
On June 27, 2007 the Ministry of Justice refused to register The Liquidator Republican Non-Governmental Organization of participants and disabled persons who participated in elimination of consequences of Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station Calamity.
The reason is non-compliance with Article 15 in the Law of the Republic of Belarus On Non-Governmental Organizations, namely, non-compliance of the NGO's name (abbreviated one including), its symbolism, and terms of membership with the legislation requirements and/or with its statutory documents. According to the governing legislation of the Republic of Belarus, refusal to register any organization may not prevent from subsequent repeated application for registration of the same.
