Last series of meetings, organized by a Young Front “Youth leaders are discussing gender problems” took place in Mogilyou. The aim of the seminar was to discuss the means of girls’ engagement into the civil-society life. Besides the belarusian organizers of the arrangement represented a traditional belarusian point of view on the gender problems. Such seminars took place in other regional centers.

A regional round of the Belarusian Festival of National Cultures came to the end in Mogilyou. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Poland and Germany demonstrated their cooking skills. All the participants were rewarded with diplomas, prizes and valuable presents.

A charitable New Year’s action “Our children” will take place in towns and villages of Mogilyov region on December 20 – January 10. The arrangements are planned to be held in all regional schools, orphanages, palaces of culture. For these purposes local funds from regional budgets will be allocated; organizations, local enterprises are going to support the events also.

A seminar “Youth and modern music” took place within the frames of the International Day of AIDS prevention. The arrangement came to the end with a contest “D-J — 2003” and a mass disco in the Palace of Arts.

KRYCHAU

Thanks to the efforts of the German NGO “To Chernobyl children” and its Krychau partners, the citizens of the town received more than 1200 parcels. These two organizations have been cooperating for 10 years already.

A group of Krychau schoolchildren received diplomas of the first level at the contest of the ancient monuments’ renaissance. More than 120 collectives from all over the Republic participated in the contest, organized by the Ministry of Education and by Belarusian Green Cross Society, timed to the Earth Day.
