MOGILYOV

A seminar "Chernobyl today: Mogilyov specific" was held on the eve of the anniversary of the Chernobyl catastrophe. The seminar was organised by the Regional Administration on the Problems of Chernobyl catastrophe and Minsk International Educational Centre IBB. Representatives of different professions took part in the seminar: doctors, teachers, deputies, NGO representatives, radiologists, sociologists and agricultural specialist. The seminar aroused interest to the problems, which have been forgotten: the consequences of the catastrophe and the present transmigration to the polluted territories.

Civil initiative OWN BUSINESS held a seminar "Youth problems and solutions to them". An experienced trainer, Ales Karnienka discovered quickly the main problems of Babruisk youth, they are hard drinking, drugs and discrimination of the Belarusian language. During a brainstorming at the seminar the participants tried to find out possible solutions to their problems.

The Irish charitable orgainistaion "Project "To the Chernobyl children" delivered to Gorki nearly 20 tons of humanitarian aid to the sum of more than EU 20 000. The administration of the Service Social Center is going to make the process of distribution of the aid as transparent as possible, for this purpose the articles, describing progress on the work, appear weekly in the local press.
