Press monitoring project was first launched by the Centre in October 1996. It is the only monitoring initiative in the country covering such a wide range of printed materials about the non-profit situation in Belarus, the activity of European structures and international organizations operating in Belarus. The main goal of the initiative is to trace the featuring of the Belarusian third sector activity and related issues in the national, regional and local mass media. The data obtained from the Press Monitoring Project serves a significant addition to the research of the third sector in Belarus.

In the Portal we present some annotations of articles from the Belarusian Press.

Upon request of Belarusian or foreign NGOs, foundations and other interested institutions the United Way Belarus is ready to provide publishing selections, carry out a sociological research on the third sector activity on specific topics, for example: Belarusian Third Sector Development, Activity of Grant-making Institutions in Belarus, etc.

At the moment, Database of Press Monitoring comprises more than 60 000 newspaper cuttings from 35 national and regional papers.
