The Belarussian government rejected to borrow $28.8 million from the World Bank for a previously agreed-upon project to combat tuberculosis and AIDS. The final draft of the project was agreed with the Health Ministry in November of 2003. Luca Barbone, World Bank director for Belarus, Moldova and the Ukraine, repoterd 26 February. Many of experts have reasons to doupt the figures presented by the Belarusian government.
