15(241) 13.04.2004 On April 11 the Belarusian people marked the international
day of liberation of Nazi concentration camps prisoners. According to chair of
the Belarusian republican fund "Understanding and reconciliation" Valentin
Gerasimov, on April 11, 1945 prisoners of the Buchenwald concentration camp
rebelled. They managed to disarm the camp's guards and burst through to the
attacking American troops. By the way, fund's database has about 100 former Nazi
prisoners registered who are over 100 years old.
