Computer correspondence school “CLICK”

This school is a new form of PC classes to increase the number of experienced PC users among NGO representatives. Thus, the suggested initiative encompass those who live in provincial cities and who can't attend the classes in the evening. Its implementation includes the following stages:

Stage 1

A special questionnaire is worked out to collect necessary data about those who are interested in this kind of course. The questionnaire is designed to assess the level of knowledge, to get known with the wishes of people, to learn about technical facilities of prospective students, etc.;

Taking into account prospective students' needs and possibilities, UWB computer specialist prepared some handbooks and other training aids for virtual extra-mural courses.

Students receive assignments that are to be done within a month. The trainee posts his/her completed test to UWB office to obtain the computer specialist's appraisal; if the test is done well, the student receives a credit and the next assignment.

UWB computer specialist consults the trainees by phone, e-mail or sends answers to their questions by post.

So, the feedback enables to assess and process the received information, to make necessary corrections into the curriculum and to improve methodologies.

The students who do assignments well and get more interested in other PC programs are invited to partake in a two-day training workshop in Minsk. During their studies in Minsk, regional students attend specialized exhibitions and Minsk-based NGOs or their branches that use modern technologies in their activities. Moreover, the students are able to come to UWB office to get individual consultations at any time suitable for them.
